Of PBA Brawl, Sonny Barrios and deporting an IMPORT...

I was actually anticipating the game yesterday between PUREFOODS and TALK N' TEXT until halfway in the THIRD QUARTER, I decided to shut off my TV. By that time, Talk N' Text was already leading by 18 Points in a very "boring game". And so I missed the main course of the evening.

A brawl happened last night involving Jondan Salvador, James Yap, Enrico Villanueva and Rob Sanz from the PUREFOODS against TNT's import Terrence Leather.

I'm a big Purefoods fan since "The Alvin Patrimonio" days. Watching this video sucks. It was ugly considering that TNT was already leading by 16 with 9 minutes to go in the final canto and still this kind of altercation would happen.

But come on, the whole thing was caused by the import. It was all Leather's fault - and the PBA. That IMPORT should be DEPORTED by NOW.

Here are my reasons why TERRENCE LEATHER SUCKS:

1. Jondan Salvador was making a post move against Terrence Leather. It is done to create space to get near the basket. The referee has the authority to monitor/check if the move would cause the OFFENSIVE PLAYER to CREATE a CHARGING FOUL or if the DEFENSIVE PLAYER would react and commit a DEFENSIVE FOUL.

In the video, the refeeree called it a "Defensive Blocking foul" against Leather.

Leather did not like the post move made by Salvador - and the referee's call. But the call made by the official was actually too late. They should have called the defensive foul right after the first bump. It was too obvious that the import's reaction was to block SALVADOR.

... and so after that call, the ugly thing happened... all INVOLVING LEATHER...

2. Since Terrence Leather replaced Aaron McGhee as import, Talk n' Text has always been in the news involving on and off court brawls. The "altercation" that happened last night was actually the THIRD altercation he's involved.

First, an off court collision involving him and HOMER SE during the Air21 and Talk n' Text eliminations game.

Second, he was again caught in a near fight against Ginebra's pair of Chris Alexander and Alex Crisano.

Third of course was the game last night.

Why is it that the PBA has been allowing all of this to happen? Everything went ugly since Renauld Barrios came into the league as commissioner.

They adopted the FIBA rules to include more physicality during games and look at the result. More FIGHTS, Brawls. The PBA has been turning into a Ghetto. Players were becoming Punks. It's all because of the obsolete Barrios.

Barrios has made controversial decisions inthe PBA since he was incepted as temporary commissioner.

Have you seen what happened during the Philippine Cup finals between Purefoods and Sta. Lucia when Barrios suspended James Yap for Game 5 of the Finals? When in fact, the league has not yet drafted a new league rules involving suspensions that is why they should be following the RULES drafted by Ex-com NOLI EALA wherein you cannot suspend a player in the FINALS rather make him pay for that in the next conference.

The PBA is getting ugly. They were imitating the NBA. Barrios is imitating DAVID STERN. ugh.

And for you readers, here's the next thing to happen in the PBA:

RPN9 will be the new home of the PBA in the next Philippine Cup. PBA will now be shown under Basketball Tv and C/S. RPN won the bidding against ABS-CBN's Studio 23.

My Personal Opinion:

Studio 23 actually backed out of the bidding because the PBA Board was actually biased to the whole bidding process. In fact, ABC5 did the same move of backing out.

BTV and C/S is not shown on FREE TV. Not all islands and cable providers in the Philippines have access to BTV and C/S. In fact, SKYCABLE doesn't have BASKETBAL TV on its channel. This would mean that the PBA would not be broadcasted in those too far provinces that doesn't have BTV and C/S in their reception.

This is just a stupid move.

BISHOP Teodoro Bacani is a FAGGOT

In his Manila Standard Today column on July 5, Teodoro Bacañi Jr. confesses that he doesn’t watch boxing and won’t be heaping praises on Manny Pacquiao’s recent victory because boxing is an inhuman sport.

The picture of Diaz during the bout last Sunday and after he was knocked out was not a pretty picture of a human being. Though Manny was a gentleman enough to help pick up his fallen opponent, the fact is, it was he himself who hurt him and knocked him out, and he rejoiced in having done so. It is hardly human to rejoice in having hurt a fellow human being. I cannot see that as being in conformity with the commandment, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

If I would remember, Bishop Teodoro Bacani Jr. was the same PRIEST who was accused of SEXUAL HARASSMENT by his own secretary about 5 or 6 years ago.

The BISHOP surely has a lot of KNOWLEDGE about the word IMMORALITY being immoral himself.

Bishop BACANI wanted us to believe that instead of watching PACQUIAO fights, we should just rather watch porn movies because anyway, BOXING is inhuman and SEXUAL HARASSMENT is something that THE VATICAN could easily forgive just like what happened to his case.

To even quote the bishop,

Fr. Jorge I. Barlin = Baao: Facts about The First Filipino Bishop; something to be proud of

This is an excerpt from the December, 1995 issue of "Kaiba".

First, he was the first clergyman to become civil governor (of Sorsogon) from September 20, 1898, until the coming of the Americans in 1900.

Second, he was the first and only person (up to this time) to have headed and governed a province both politically and ecclesiastically.

He was the political and ecclesiastical head at the same time during the crucial period of our history when our country was being torn between two foreign loyalties, Spain and America.

Third, he was the first and presumably the only priest to whom the supreme prelacy of the Philippine Independent Church, a.k.a. Aglipayan church, was offered.His response to Padre Gregorio Aglipay's offer as supreme head was as curt as it was devastating:

Fifth, Barlin was the first and to date, the only priest, whose name is immortalized in Philippine Jurisprudence.

In court rulings Barlin vs. Ramirez case (Philippine Jurisprudence No. 41) decided in 1904 and upheld by the Supreme Court in 1906 is resorted to, court rulings "on peaceable possessions of properties." The Supreme Court's decision was an irreparable blow to the Aglipayan movement whose schismatic priests in possession of of Catholic churches and properties in some parts of the Islands were or-dered to vacate (said churches) in favor of the Catholic Church. Lagonoy Church, Fr. Vicente Ramirez' Agli-payan stronghold and where the case originated, had to be surrendered to the Catholic Church, that time under Msgr. Barlin.

HARAPAN: no OFFENSE to GAY PEOPLE

Since its pilot episode about a week ago on ABS-CBN, HARAPAN is definitely the only WORTH-WATCHING TV show in the land today.

I hate ABS-CBN for being bias in issues regarding governement controversies but the tandem of Korina and Ted Failon in HARAPAN is just hard to resist. I don't know how to describe it. They're obviously trying to be a political satire show just like Jon Stewart Show in the U.S. but it's okay because the humor of Ted and Korina definitely mixed well with their sensibility.

Last night, their second episode aired which is about World Bank's WGI which puts the Philippines a hot spot for Corruption and they invited the perfect guests to tackle the issues. On the government side, it was USEC Anthony Golez and a PAGC Chair which I forgot the name. And on the opposition side or should we say the civil group, it was Atty. Harry Roque and that BAYAN secretary-general katutubo which I also could not remember his name.

I love how Korina and Ted heats up the issue. Korina at first acts out like she was so ignorant about the subject and later after the guest have answered, she would air her side on the issue like a university professor.

But the main course of last night episode was when Anthony Golez made a remark about Atty. Harry Roque's too much TV appearance as I would guess. Golez was like saying "sayang naman ang pagiging abogado ni Harry Roque kung he cannot instill respect on institutions of justice like The Ombudsman and then magsasabi siya ng kung anu-anong allegations pero wala namang proof."

Obviously, Atty. Roque answered back with a statement "I would like to take offense with that statement by USEC Golez blah blah". But while Roque was airing his side, it was like the Gay slash lawyer wanted to cry. He was even stuttering while speaking. In our local dialect, "gusto ng maglupinak".

But I get the point of Golez. Roque is a lawyer and he must understand that the only thing you can prove something to be true is thru legal process and in proper forum and not by using the Media as your resort. He used to do that thing regarding his allegations against the governement which were all dismissed in proper court because of lack of evidence. He once sue the President at The Ombudsman with administrative and criminal charges without thinking of "THE RULE OF IMMUNITY". I guess for a lawyer not aware of that rule and still insisting his charges in legal proceedings against an immuned government official is a basic form of ignorance of the law.

The show is really great especially that it brings awareness to the people about issues regarding politics.

THe GENIUS behind PACQUIAO

I always believe that there would be no Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant without a Phil Jackson.

The same with Manny Pacquiao, the reason for his success would always rely on the GENIUS MIND of La Cucaracha or known to us Filipinos as Freddie Roach, Pacquiao's second father.

Roach suffered PARKINSON's Disease due to his durable fighting style when he was still a lightweight boxer and he had speech difficulty since acquiring the degenerative disorder. But the disease did not affect his intelligence about THE SWEET SCIENCE and the sport he has always loved as he has made Manny Pacquiao into a complete package he is now.

Definitely the best pound for pound fighter in the world today, Pacquiao owed everything to ROACH- and God of course as he always tell in his interviews.

Just like in his recent victory over David Diaz to capture his fourth belt, it was Freddie who think of the idea of moving into LIGHTWEIGHT, which is PACQUIAO's natural weight.

The reason? Simply because The PACMAN didn't have to STARVE in order to win a fight.

He always had difficulty in his previous fights when reaching the 130 lb. limit. The result? His speed would be visible throughout a 12-round match but his power and the intensity of his game would wear out in the championship rounds.

Now that he's at 135 lbs. on his latest outing, we couldn't say anything but just appreciate his hand power, speed and all the complete package of a boxer. To quote David Diaz after the fight, "Manny Pacquiao is freaking fast. He is freaking fast."

Diaz is absolutely right and we have to give credit to Freddie Roach for that speed which was last seen on Manny Pacquiao 5 years ago.

Credit the tremendous training that two buddies have spent in Los Angeles, but credit more the BOXING INTELLIGENCE that Roach have instilled in the BRAIN of the former PANADERO.

Kudos to both of them.

R.H Making Of A Champion: The Finals Game 2

So, back to Rewriting History.

After that win in Game 1 against the mighty Celtics, confidence has really built up with my fantasy team Lakers.

First Quarter

My team is off to a great start but definitely, I forgot something here and that is the fact that Ray Allen almost carry the whole Celtics team in Game 1. He did the same the in the opening quarter of this game. We played great defense especially against Paul Pierce who just can't find his flow since the start of this series. The Celt's Big 3 was now cut down to 2/3. L.A up 20-25 after Q1.

Second Quarter

The opening minute of the second quarter was boring mainly because both teams are playing really tough defense. But both shooters from the two teams extended their touches as Ray Allen and KB24 scored 18 and 16 respectively after the half. It's a tie ballgame at 40 after the half.

Third Quarter

This is the quarter that Boston has lot of chances to pull away against my L.A. but Kobe was just practically on fire. KG, Allen and Sam Cassell carried the Celt's but Kobe's 10 points and 5 assists in this quarter alone cut down the Celt's breakaway evening. The problem for my team is that Kobe was in foul trouble after committing 4 fouls so early in the third. I still let him play because of defensive purposes. Celtics 65-60 after 3Q.

Fourth Quarter

With Kobe on foul trouble but with amazing jump shots in the second and third quarter, I know he's the man I can rely on in this final canto. How I wish his arsenal isn't expired yet.

Celtics rely on their pressure defense as Gasol and Odom couldn't sink their touches from the post. Excellent BOSTON defense.

As to our offense offense, Andrew Bynum seems to be the only reliable guy tonight in this final quarter. Kobe keeps on missing the same shots he did during the early quarters. Celtics now leads by 12. It's crunch time and I have to rely on my veteran Derek Fisher but apparently it didn't worked out. With 3 minutes left on the quarter and Celtics leading by 14, Kobe picks up an offensive foul and that would be his fifth. Oh no. 1 mistake and it's over. We cut down the lead to about 8 with 2 minutes on the clock but Kobe picks up his 6th foul so that would be the end for the Black Mamba. This is so frustrating. Some calls of the ref's are just unfair. I still got time to recover but without a leader on the floor like Kobe, LAKERS eventually melted in the final two minutes of the game to give the CELTICS Game 2 in a 90-78 win to tie the series at 1 apiece.

I love the defense and all the adjustments made by the Celtics into this Game 2. Ray allen was extremely hot and KG lived up to the expectations missing in him during the Game 1. The only weak side is still, Paul Pierce. Let's see if he's going to bounce back when this series shift to STAPLES CENTER for Games 3, 4, and 5.

NBA LIVE 09 COVER ATHLETE

Yeap. NBA Live 09 Global Cover Athlete is San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker. NBA Live 09 is set to be released on October 7, 2008 in the U.S.A. Hopefully this will be available in our country by the end of October.

The game has a lot of new features such as the NBA Academy. It also has player control moves such as the Pick and Roll control, Signature playcalling, quickstrike anklebreakers, and the lockdown control. Those moves would mean better gameplay for this series. EA was also granted rights to 24 National FIBA teams this year after FIBA World Championship debuted with 8 teams for NBA Live 08. The biggest surprise for this NBA Live installment is thought to be the Pro Mode. I'm not yet sure what it means and what it does.

I'm really looking forward to play this game.

My Fantasy team Los Angeles Lakers (61-21) is up against the Boston Celtics (65-17) in the 2008 NBA Finals.

It's Dynasty versus Destiny.

1st Quarter

The first few minutes of the opening quarter was full of championship jitters for both team. Pressure and nervousness all combined. The offense was not playing very well but I can't probably say that it's because of smooth defense. Kobe is playing decoy as he was passing more often than shooting and on the other hand, Ray Allen was stroking it well as he finished the quarter with 10 points. Both KG and Pierce was not a factor in this opening quarter. On the Lakers side, I love the aggressiveness shown by L.O. Boston leads by 4 heading into the second quarter.

2nd Quarter

It's time to rest some of the starters for my team except Lamar Odom to keep the intensity on his knees. Boston also did the same with KG and Pierce. Boston offense is all Ray Allen basketball. 12 points for him in this quarter alone making his points total to 22 at the end of the half. Boston lead went up to 12 points until I let Kobe in before the last two minutes of the first half and luckily, his offense was well flowing ending the half to a tie ballgame.

3rd Quarter

This is more playing time for my 1-2 punch of Kobe and Pau and a deadly match-up against the Big 3 of Boston. Both KG and Pau is making their presence felt on this quarter exchanging baskets from one side to the other. One thing noticeable here is the offensive absence of Paul Pierce. KG obviously dominated this quarter as well as Ray Allen but Paul Pierce only has 4 points after 3 quarters. On the Lakers side, bench scoring kept them in the game. Kobe and Pau has a combined 24 points after three Q's. I expected a brawl in the final Q.

4th Quarter

Allen and KG continued their offensive dominance. Celtics led by as many as 12 points in the final two minutes. Farmar started this quarter for L.A. to let D-Fish rest for the first few minutes. I let Kobe dictate the Lakers offense this time and cut down the lead to only 7 heading into the final minute of the ballgame.

Celtics up 76-69 and with 1 minute left in the final quarter. Boston Fans already rejoicing until I let all my starters on the floor. Kobe scored on a jumper cuttind down the lead by 5 and a steal by Fisher lets Kobe got open in transition which scored a basket and draws a foul to cut the lead by only 3 and hits the charity basket to cut the lead by only 2. It's 76-74 Celtics lead heading into the final 40 seconds.

There is still no need to foul this time. I let the team played a Half Court press and a 1-3-1 Zone to put pressure on the Celtics Basketball. They let Rajon Rondo man the PG position so I knew that the ball wouldn't stay in his hand for long. My clairvoyance was right as he passed it immediately to R.A who was well guarded by My Black Mamba KB24 which led to an Allen missed jumper and a Gasol rebound and transition offense for the Lakers. I did not call a timeout and instead let Kobe bring down the ball to the other side and attempts a penetration which makes the Celtics defense played double team on Kobe which led to a Derek Fisher open in the sideline 3-point area. Kobe passed the ball to Fish and well, the veteran point guard hits the 3-ball putting the team up 79-78 with 20 seconds remaining. Celtics still has a chance to tie or win the ballgame but Allen missed a jumper which led to Boston giving an intentional foul. Lakers Win this game 81-78.

Rewriting History: Making of A Champion

Okay. This is still part of the aftermath of the 2008 NBA Finals. Call this sour graping but this is just one way to relieve all those painful memories brought by the LAKERS loss against Boston.

I am an avid gamer of EA SPORTS NBA LIVE Series since its last 6 installments so I decided to to try my luck via Dynasty Mode using the Los Angeles Lakers as my team. Of course, I've downloaded all roster patches from http://www.nba-live.com/ so I can have Pau Gasol in my lineup. They have an updated roster that can be installed anytime and anywhere. I've finished the season with an 61-21 win-loss record which is second in the Western Conference behind the defending champions San Antonio Spurs (62-20). Yes, I've played all those 82 games with a 2-minute per quarter scenario. Kobe Bryant won the Most Valuable Player of the year at the end of the season and the Defensive Player of the Year after averaging almost 15 points per game and I also make some improvements on his passing abilities. Luke Walton was the Sixth Man of the Year and all 5 players in my starting lineup made it to the All-Defensive first team.

Playoffs First Round

It's time for the Playoffs. The team was seeded on the second spot of the Western Conference and has to play New Orleans Hornets led by premiere point guard Chris Paul. It was an easy first round ride for the team as they eliminated Chris Paul and company in 5 games and our next opponent- the Phoenix Suns.

Second round Playoffs

It was a renewal of western powerhouse rivalry as my team faced the trio of Steve Nash, Amare, and former Laker MVP Shaquille O'Neal. It was an head to head battle for teams until it all boils down to a deciding Game 7 which we won eventually. We are now headed to the Western Conference Finals.

West Finals

This is the first time we open the series on the road against the defending champs San Antonio Spurs but we played with confidence although we loss game 1 by 2 points against a Tim Duncan sideline jumper. We bounced back Game 2 and made an upset but home was not favorable for our team as we dropped games 3 and 4 making it a 3-1 hole in the series for us. I made a mindset to forget the numbers and just continue playing. Luckily, we reached Game 7 which we the team won and officially eliminating the San Antonio Spurs.

The Finals:

We are back at the Finals. And guess who our opponent is? Of course, its the Boston Celtics led by Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and sharpshooter Ray Allen or better known as the Celtics Big 3.

The Celtics reclaimed the East domination after ousting the Detroit Pistons in 6 games. So, the theme for the finals, obviously its REVIVING the RIVALRY.

Game 1 is set at the TD BankNorth Garden in Boston.

I will update you in this blog for the Games until we have our NBA Champion team.

15 SCHOLARS has officially made it into the academy and another one will join them later this evening.

BRIEFLY NOTED: I personally believe that watching PDA is better than the local version of Freemantle's AI known here in our country as PINOY IDOL which is a primetime show of GMA7. Why? Well, PDA has:

better JUDGES... from KITCHIE MOLINA to Direk Joey Reyes to Headmaster Ryan Cayabyab compared to JOLINA MAGDANGAL, a B-Lister.

2010 BAAO ELECTION: A PRIMER

This would be my first post about my not-so-recent vacation in BAAO and I'll be blogging about my observations about politics in the area and what could possibly happen in 2010.

I'm not a political analyst or even someone who holds a degree about the topic but I just noticed that everytime I go back to my hometown, people there seems to be always interested in this subject as part of their chismisan that even those "parapapadyak" could give you first hand info's regarding what's-hot-what's-not in the place.

Let's get to the topic now. The not-so-newly elected mayor is I guess doing his thing. His style and his rules. He demolished the CHICKEN STATUE along Diversion Road( I was irritated with that chicken actually when it was there). He romoved all signages with reference to the former mayor in public places like the waiting shed at the PUBLIC MARKET and put his BIG name on it. I even had a close encounter with him during the KAOGMA festival when AKINA represented our town in that singing competition because gladly, the local governement assisted us during the competition at the last minute. Better late to help than never. But, with VOUCHER of course. I guess you know what I mean. He was indeed a jolly person. He was jumping and jumping as soon as my auntie won the event. Maybe those news I've heard about him in the past were really true that only his sons were the headache in the town. A la ERAP. My MOM had a chance to talk with him and my mom said that all throughout their conversation, the MAYOR was actually fuming about all those corruptions allegedly done by the former Mayor that he even had the office to be renovated and repainted because all left of him in the office were old and disfunctional tables and chairs.My mom just replied that he should get used to POLITICS and its system.

Im not yet done with him. BUT....

One thing I've noticed about the place is the ASPHALT OVERLAY PROJECT they did along the NATIONAL HIGHWAY extending thru IRIGA, NABUA, and BAAO which is really a positive development in the place. The whole PROJECT was made possible thru the efforts of the 3rd district representative, the FORMER MAYOR and the INCUMBENT VICE MAYOR. Yeap, you've heard it right. The former mayor and incumbent vice mayor who once slugged it out during the 2007 elections for the vice mayoralty post were now good allies. Actually, of the 8 Municipal councilors of Baao, only two of them remained as ally of our incumbent mayor. The rest were on the other side of the fence including the Vice Mayor as I've said earlier. hmmm.. I love that picture I have posted above. Perfect for this topic isn't it?

But that is politics I believe. Today you're on one side where you can harvest those fruits but the next morning you might be on the other side of the fence to harvest more fruits. I already doubted their loyalty in the first place. I knew even before the election that they would split up sooner or later because of conflict of interest. The vice mayor could be eyeing the top spot anytime and one of the municipal councilor is also a former mayor who might as well be interested for a better pasture. As a matter of fact, people knew all throughout the election CAMPAIGN that the ONLY reason they SIDED with the incumbent Mayor today is because they lack CAMPAIGN Funds. they were all after the money. Even one big reason why the Mayor won the election was still about money I have nothing against the former mayor in fact I've worked for him during the election and the batch supported their ticket but maybe this time he should be more careful choosing friends and allies like what I will tell you in this next blind item.

OK so here's the cream of the crop.

My mom asked me to meet one of the staff at the Mayor's office one afternoon to follow-up the requirements for the singing competition which would be submitted to the PROVINCIAL gov't. the following day. I did not find the person I was looking for but I guess it's the secretary who gladly referred me to one of the SUPERVISOR regarding CULTURAL CHUVA EKK EKK of our town. I don't know the exact position so forgive me for the term. I was thinking of one peroson who could possibly be that SUPERVISOR and I was never wrong. It was him. Well, his resume would surely make him qualified for that job being a former band trainor in the public high school and a former topnotcher councilor of BAAO but there is one thing wrong on his track record. I'm not sure of the exact year when this controversy happened but I guess it was 2005. After winning the top spot as councilor of BAAO, this man was surely enjoying the limelight given to him as a top caliber personality in the town being a councilor. Everybody knows him. He was probably the most popular ally of the former MAYOR when he ran alongside in that ticket. He earned respect. He deserved everything until....

One day, while the mayor was out for a official trip, a CONTRACT/PROJECT involving A VERY LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY to be withdrawn from the PUBLIC FUNDS needs to be signed by the MAYOR. I guess he served as a CHAIRMAN in one of those committees regarding the project so he has first hand involvement with this. Since the mayor was not in office, what this RETARD did was FORGE the signature of the MAYOR and then afterwards, withdraw the money because he was thinking he has legal documents. What he did not know was the news spread until the Mayor knew of this thing already and the whole EMPLOYEES of the MUNISIPYO were aware of his CONTROVERSY.

This is an obvious form of CORRUPTION and CRIME. You never forge a signature in a legal document involving COLD CASH; PUBLIC FUNDS unless you want to go to MANDALUYONG and have yourself CONFINED there for the rest of your life. After the whole story broke out into the public scene, and after his family were humiliated because of what happened, I guess he quit his JOB(forgive me here but i'm not sure) as councilor. Other speculated he just made a LEAVE OF ABSENCE and otherspeculations also was that he returned the money. And as soon as the new mayor was inducted into office, he was once again showed his face to the public and and is now currently working as that SUPERVISOR. Which is I think ridiculous. you know what I mean. The fucking retard has history of corruption and dishonesty working as a public servant and then what, you're gonna hire/appoint him with a new job as a public servant AGAIN? That is FUCKING A isn't it?

If ever he's making a comeback career in politics, then I believe it would reaLLY be a battle of retards in the 2010 elections with lots of RABBITS hopping from one place to another.

I went to Robinson's Place Manila (MIDTOWN) earlier hoping to unwind and get a glimpse of what's new in the city.

First, I go to the magazine stand to check out who's the FHM Covergirl for the month of JUNE. It was Ehra Madrigal. I don't know who the hell is she but I got interested with their special edition issue # 2 of LADIES CONFESSIONS. Imagine hundred of kinky stories in one magazine.

I just passed by the magazine store thinking I could buy that magazine maybe next time I went there. Instead, I went to Toys 'R Us to look for an Original Rubik's Cube(yeah, a lot of people is addicted with this puzzle). The price is too expensive for a shit like that but when I'm about to leave the store, I noticed those Mini Skateboards they are selling. They call it as "fingerboard". It's made by Tech Deck with permission to all those professional Skateboarding Companies such as Blind, TOYMACHINE, Darkstar, etc. I was hooked looking at all those designs and I ended up buying one of the BLIND Tech Deck fingerboard.

So check out my new toy:

A set comes with a metal trucks, grip tape and real skate company graphics. It's so cool. I'm really not good wityh real skateboarding so I'm going to try my luck with my new fingerboard.

During BOXING MATCHES, I prefer reading Pre and POST-FIGHT ANALYSIS by BOXING EXPERTS like Kevin LOLE rather watching bias TV interviews done by our local media.

This time, I made a round by round analysis of the recently concluded fight between WHISTLEBLOWER Jun LOZADA against 2 time defending CHAMPION Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Round 1:

Lozada opened the fight with so much hype. He was aggressive since the bell started at La SALLE GREENHILLS. He gave GMA an early uppercut in the first round with a KIDNAPPING allegation and then a jab combo of 500,000 pesos bribe in HONG KONG plus a left hook of the 300 million dollars KICKBACK regarding the ZTE-NBN deal. GMA could only play defense here in the first round with cover-ups and counter punching via a left HOOK of APOSTOL and a right JAB of BUNYE. Lozada managed to own this round with some decent HOOKS and JABS and a promise to APPEAR before the SENATE as GMA continued her counter-punching activities.

Score: 10 -9 LOZADA

Round 2:

Lozada continued his aggressive punching combination as he appeared on the witness stand before the SENATE. GMA was partially stunned but it seems that GMA has COUNTER PUNCHES in all of LOZADA's combo's. Midway in the second round and LOZADA continued his quest for supremacy as he launched some JABS and HOOKS via WALK FOR TRUTH rallies and CAMPUS TOURS as if he's MIGS ZUBIRI doing some CLOSE-UP commercial. The crowd (media plus some other left-leaning groups) is visibly showing sympathy towards him as GMA could only do counter-punches and play defense. The round ended with LOZADA showing dominance all throughout and as if CHARO SANTOS-CONCIO is already preparing a post-fight MMK deal.

SCORE: 10-9 LOZADA

ROUND 3

LOZADA opened the round with more HOOKS and those usual JABS we've seen in the early 2 rounds but this going on some provincial tours. GMA still managed to play defense and keep both feet on the ring. The CROWD is seemingly anticipating a GMA KO here but GMA still has energy to play defense and counter punches. LOZADA cornered GMA on one side and continue to play with JABS and COMBO's via a ERAP-CORY-JDV connection. It's four against one now as the crowd continues to wait for a KO but GMA still on her defense. Midway in this round, both sluggers were seen counter punching each other as GMA seemed to be losing focus on her GAME PLAN. Meanwhile, LOZADA steps on the brakes as he knew that he owned this round and continued to throw punches on GMA and the GREEDY GANG. The round ended with both fighters taking on some breather for HOLY WEEK vacation.

SCORE: 10-9 LOZADA

ROUND 4

GMA opened the round with much needed energy as she focused more on her game plan while LOZADA is trying to go for the kill. GMA sees an opening and seemed to be throwing more punches here on this round. The crowd is still waiting for a KO as LOZADA is seemingly looking for a timing to throw a POWER PUNCH. But GMA keeps boxing and then sees an opening, she launched on LOZADA a LEFT HOOK with an accidental BIG "C" on the former President CORY AQUINO and LOZADA seemed to be stunned this time. LOZADA still showed focus midway in this round as GMA is looking for a come from behind victory in this round. The bell ticked for the last 10 seconds of the fourth round and GMA throws a decent UPPERCUT and HOOK combinations of NFA RICE that sent Jun Lozada on the canvas momentarily but he managed to get up quickly as the round ended.

The round opened with GMA throwing more combos of NFA RICE as Lozada and company can only walk along Padre Faura Street to push a motion for reconsideration appeal regarding CHED chariman Neri's use of EXECUTIVE PRIVELEGE. GMA looks to dominate this round as she now throws more punching combinations of NFA Rice, the RICE shortage as a whole and LOZADA's supporters seemed to eye a knockdown of their hero. More "shortages" this time coming for both fighters but it seemed to be an advantage for GMA as she dumped Jun Lozada or should I say sent LOZADA to the CANVAS for the second time in this fight. Referee CES DRILON(bias to LOZADA and TRILLANES obviously) counted the KNOCKDOWN but JUN LOZADA has been able to stand again in the ring. It's just midway in this fifth round as the crowd already losing focus (and hopes) on the early punches thrown by LOZADA. GMA once again used power combination punches of a leaft hook, jab and an UPPERCUT via addressing the RICE PROBLEM in the country, MERALCO takeover, WAGE increase as JUN LOZADA was sent again into the canvas for the third time but this time he was unable to get up as the bout resulted into a KO.

Winner: Obviously, this battle has been won by GMA as she heads on to her final 2 and a half years but the WAR as we know is not yet over. We all know that when Jun Lozada went out of the closet, GMA's boxing er presidential career is again on the line. Lozada may be the toughest among all the sluggers she faced but FOCUS plus GAME PLAN on her political machinery would always mean a victory on her side.

As to LOZADA, it all ended via a 5th round KO. I hope you did get my point. Each round is consisted of 3 minutes so that's about 15 minutes of fame for him enough for him to be called a "whistleblower" or may be a "has been" or even worse, a "never was". Definitely, not a "HERO".

Our country is arguably home to the top medical professionals in the world; from doctors to nurses to medical technologists to pharmacists and the list goes on and on.

We are also now boasting of how good medical tourism in our country is practiced.

But definitely, the video I included above could tell you that those involved in that scandal in a hospital in Cebu City is just absolutely a disgrace to the whole medical profession.

You cannot even blame Teri Hatcher now for the slur she once did against Filipino's in that Desperate Housewive's show. SHAME on those BISAYA!

I told you in my previous post to check if LOLIT SOLIS was actually telling the truth when she said that Senator Bong Revilla's daughter Inah Revilla is getting married on May 28, 2008 to a childhood sweetheart out of pure LOVE. Lolit Solis even denied allegations that INAH REVILLA is PREGNANT that is why the latter decided to tie the knot.

Well just yesterday, the senator confirmed to the media that indeed her daughter is 4 months pregnant. Asked for initial reaction on hearing the news of pre-marital sex and early marriage plans of her daughter, the senator simply answered that "he was shock".It means LOLIT SOLIS is a proven FAT LIAR.

and I know why BONG got shocked.

It's because Senator Bong Revilla just realized that the number of children he had and grandchildren has already outnumbered the bills he passed as a SENATOR of our Republic.

ONLINE SURVEYS

Since having a GF a year and a half ago, I never answered any FRIENDSTER SURVEY that passes around the bulletin of FRIENDSTER anymore. I guess it's the best thing to do since I have never lived my life as a saint before being in a certain relationship. Simply that I don't want to get caught.

That is why now that I am single again, I was tempted earlier to answer two surveys. One that is something about life and the other one was something about HIGH SCHOOL life. Within two hours after posting those two surveys, I received 5 messages and reactions from friends regarding those surveys asking who are those involved and those dates I've mentioned. I was so delighted that there are people who are reading my post. Of course I did not name some of those persons I mentioned and just used the term "si ano" because I might hurt other people and might get attacks from others.

But the thing about the SURVEYS I did answer a while ago is the fact that people seemed to enjoy the questions that they made their own revisions or at least noticed what I have posted and send me PM's.

The thought is too easy guys. I answer those kind of surveys to let other people have ideas about my life, my thoughts on something and not TO BOAST OF SOMETHING. Other people who answer surveys do that all the time.

I pick surveys that ask questions only about my past. My school. My town. My ideal relationships. my crushes. People I cared for and value a lot.

I do not answer those survey questionnaires such as HOW MANY SHOES DO YOU OWN? HOW MANY BAGS DO YOU HAVE? HOW MANY SIGNATURED CLOTHES HAVE YOU WORN?

It's not that I don't have any but because those questions are simply irrelevant. Why would you want other people to know that you have things like that?

I know some people who do that all the time in FRIENDSTER. They pick those survey questionnaires that have questions where they can boast of something. Where they could be somebody in that social ladder even if they aren't. Even if they are only pretending to be somebody. I'm sick that they are on my friend's list.

Please guys, answer those questions sincerely, honestly and truthfully.

If you are fond of watching movies and as well as listening to its theme song, then the song Grow Old With You by Adam Sandler would surely be included on your list.

The song is included in the movie version of the hit musical show The Wedding Singer in which Adam Sandler sings it as part of the film's climax scene with Billy Idol appearing in a cameo role. Everyone who have watched the movie would never forget that scene.

Why I'm writing about the song and the video above is because I was the one who uploaded the video on YOUTUBE last June 10, 2006. As of this writing, it has already received a total of 1,053,059 views, 1,057 total lovely comments and it has been chosen by YOUTUBE viewers to be one of their favorite videos for 8,466 times.

I'm really pleased with all those lovely comments the video has received especially those who posted comments that they have remembered their loved ones with the song.

I would not be surprised anymore if the MOTION FOR RECONSIDERATION appeal made by THE SENATE at the Supreme Court on its ruling upholding the executive privilege invoked by former socioeconomic planning secretary Romulo Neri on his conversations with President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on the national broadband network controversy would fail and would not be granted.

Why?

Because of one reason:

The CHAIRMAN of THE SENATE BLUE RIBBON COMMITTEE is obviously INCOMPETENT.

The committee should be the one responsible in studying all the legal issues regarding the ZTE NBN controversy but they have failed to do anything until now.

In the first place, the Senate hearing regarding the ZTE NBN controversy should have been flowing right now, with Romulo Neri on the witness stand if only The SENATE have made competent ARGUMENTS the last time they had an ORAL ARGUMENT at the Supreme Court regarding Neri invoking EXECUTIVE PRIVILEGE.

But what could you expect from an inexperienced BLUE RIBBON COMMITTEE Chairman. It's obvious he is ignorant of the job that even his fellow senators were questioning his responsibility and competency as chairman.

I remember Senator Joker Arroyo, former chairman of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee and close ally of the President, when in 2006 he defended properly the irregularities of PROCLAMATION 1017 that they actually SCORED against The Palace when The Supreme Court ruled that PROCLAMATION 1017 is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

It's very obvious that Senator CAYETANO won a senate seat only because of the POLITICAL CIRCUSES he orchestrated against The First Family in the year 2006 and which he did not even prove any of it to be true.

Now that he is a senator of our Republic, expect more of CIRCUS SHOWS from our very own CLOWN SENATOR.

The Limelight: Personal thoughts on PBB, GABBY, and LOLIT SOLIS

I want to talk this time about things happening right now in the show business. I believe that majority of us Filipino's are inclined with this subject since the radio transistor days I guess.

The past week has been really all about show business, gossip stories and rice shortage. So let me put this time my personal opinions about some of the hottest issues in the showbiz world.

1st ISSUE - PINOY BIG BROTHER TEEN EDITION PLUS: "Bahay ni Kuya" opened its doors again to teen housemates hopeful of becoming the next Hannah Montana of the Philippines.

It was great to see a Bicolana inside the house.

Almost all of them have the star quality. I guess its the number 1 factor to become a housemate of Big Brother. There is only one thing I've noticed of the housemates. Almost half of them were coming from the Visayas and Mindanao area. The selection committee should have at least limit their number into 4. Six is too much. It turned them into a powerhouse inside the house especially if nomination process comes. Makes me think that ABS-CBN is really after the ratings game in Vis-Min area, which they really holds supremacy, and now that GMA 7 is reportedly on a close contest with them in that area. There is one thing more. I am not being racist here but watching its episodes makes me annoyed sometimes when some housemates speak in their native tongue. I know you'll tell me it's their prerogative but come on, the whole production staff of the show should have at least encouraged its HM's to speak Filipino language while communicating with their fellow HM's. I guess those 6 HM's speak the visayan language almost 90 percent of the time.

Anyways, my personal choice for Big Winner is RONA. But I have a feeling that NICOLE would be ABS-CBN's choice in the end. She has the best star quality among all HM's. Just like what happened to Kim Chiu before. Kim Chiu was a nobody when the show started as the attention were all on Jamilla Obispo but when Gereald and the Athenean HM showed love interest on her, it becomes her stage already.

2nd ISSUE - CRISTINE REYES and GABBY CONCEPCION becoming a KAPAMILYA:

Let me first discuss Gabby Concepcion. He's back after 13 years of hiatus in the U.S. and he already made rounds of controversies as soon as he steeped his feet on our Philippine soil. One of these is the movie commitment he rejected from GMA7 in a flick entitled ITALY. To summarize the reason why he did such thing, it clearly shows that he doesn't like the script. Which personally I am not surprised anymore with this issue because GMA7 has really poor scriptwriters in their network.

Take for example Marian Rivera. Yes, she is probably one of the newest star today in the boob tube but her role in Marimar in what I believe is a FANTASERYE of GMA7(a talking dog?) was poor in reception among critics of tabloids and broadsheets. Yes, the show has a 40 percent average rating in the whole run but that is the game of GMA7, they don't care whether their shows are of QUALITY rather their just after the ratings game and put shows that are cheap - and I mean ZAIDO, BAKEKANG.

On the issue of CRISTINE REYES transfer, I guess the reason is the same with what happened to Valerie Concepcion and Angel Locsin in the past and many other artists of GMA7 who transferred to ABS-CBN who became certified ATRISTS- not stars.

I remember Angel Locsin saying in an interview that she had soul-searched and later she realized that she doesn't want to become a star that is why she transferred to ABS-CBN for her to be known as ANGEL LOCSIN the ACTRESS. Honestly, that is what KAPAMILYA station has been doing ever since with their talents such as JUDY ANN SANTOS, CLAUDINE BARRETTO and PIOLO PASCUAL(he's from that's entertainment). They are top-billed personalities because they have the total package of talent, charisma and character which GMA7 on the other hand lacks. Look at the roster of GMA7 right now, KATRINA HALILI, IWA MOTO were branded many times as "palengkera". Even Richard Gutierrez has a character-barumbado-problem in the past. That is why many of their stars before have already ended their showbiz careers very early. Where is Kim DeLos Santos right now? Cogie Domingo? Antoinette Taus?They are nowhere to be found in showbiz right. One-hit wonder as they say. Even TGIS characters are KAPAMILYA stars already.

3rd ISSUE - The 18-year old daughter of Sen. Bong Revilla tying the knot on May, 2008:

Inah Revilla is getting married to her 24-year old childhood sweetheart this year and her talent manager Lolit Solis admitted the news but says that teen-age PREGNANCY is not the reason for the early decision.

My OPINION: good Luck and I hope LOLIT SOLIS is telling the truth. LMAO.

According to articles I have read this past week, people are concerned regarding the legal issues that Brian Gorrell is facing right now with his blog.

TV Patrol and many newspapers reported that he may be charged of LIBEL because of his revelations and even LAW Colleges are experimenting his case nowadays.

They are all after "the extent of LIBEL LAWS in our country."

It makes me question why is it that these news organizations are more keen on reporting the LEGAL ISSUES about the blog and not the SUBSTANCE of THE BLOG itself.

What I mean is why is it that people are more concerned if his posts were libelous or not and nobody is daring to investigate if his allegations against the high-society GUCCI GANG were true. Those COCCAINE selling during big parties. If its members were really using COKE at EMBASSY BAR.

Knowing that Embassy Bar is frequently visited by many FILIPINOS of all social status from celebrities to students to working citizens, I guess it's a danger for anyone to be involved in these kind of illegal activities. This is a major social issue.

The most VISIBLE THING in his allegations is that there is COCCAINE buy and sell activities at that famous bar. I believe that is the issue that our authorities must investigate. This is the issue that NEWS AGENCIES must PROBE. Investigate if the posts on Brian's blog is really libelous by investigating the SUBSTANCE of the BLOG. Drug ADDICTION by member of our country's HIGH SOCIETY.

It was during my elementary days when I heard this activity of a politician in Manila spraying houses of "Manilenyos" with placards saying "BABALA: PUSHER ANG NAKATIRA DITO" or "USER NG SHABU ANG NAKATIRA DITO" to push the campaign of the city government against drug addiction.

I imagined that it would really be humiliating if your house would have that signage or whatever you call that placard.

But history isn't over yet. Because the MAYOR who's hobby before was spraying houses with those cautious messages should I guess return to his favorite past time.

And his FIRST STOP: his OWN HOUSE. His son was arrested two days ago by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in a buy bust operation around Binondo, Manila. Even Padre Faura was busy this morning (traffic na naman noong dumaan ako) for the presentation of the suspects and evidences at The Department of Justice.

Hell to his FAMILY. He'd gone so busy when he DEMOLISHED the beautiful BAYWALK and now what?

What again is your motto for the city? LINISIN, IKARANGAL ang MAYNILA?

Well, for what your son did and what you are not doing as a FUCKING DAD then I guess you're THE BEST EXAMPLE of HOW FUCKED UP the FAMILIES are living in your city.

Many I guess would agree with me if I write in this blog that the victory yesterday of Manny Pacquiao over Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez wasn't a convincing one. It was just not the same Manny Pacquiao who fought in the ring the last time they met in 2004. It was a lackluster performance.

It was a close fight from the beginning up to the end but it wasn't an exciting one. It did not come up to the expectation of many Filipinos that it will end with Manny sending Marquez to the canvass to win by KO. Yes, Marquez was down on the third round and it was I guess the only exciting part of the match. Rounds 4,5,6 was even a yawner. Manny Pacquiao came back in rounds 8,9, 10 and 11 but at the last round, it's very evident that the counter-punching style of Marquez is very effective.

I'm happy that he won the fight because it's the fight of his life I guess. It's a title bout but I hope he do better in his next fight, not only in training but inside the ring whether it will be David Diaz or Valero or Guzman.

He is I guess one big reason why we should be proud of being a Filipino.

I wonder that despite having OVER 1 MILLION VIEWS in less than a week, why is it that ABS-CBN or GMA7 is still not featuring the BLOG HYPE or ADDICTION of the DJ MONTANO SCANDAL in their SHOWS like THE BUZZ, TV PATROL WORLD, SHOWBIZ CENTRAL, 24 ORAS?

I'm sure they are aware of the ATTENTION it is getting in the internet right now.

Everyone is talking about the answer of 2008 Binibining Piliponas World Janina San Miguel during the Binibining Pilipinas pageant which was aired on GMA7 last Saturday evening up to Sunday midnight. It's the hottest issue right now because I guess nobody cares of the other San Miguel in The Senate inquiry right now.

"Well, my family's role for me is so important b'coz there was the wa- they're, they was the one who's... very... Hahahaha... Oh I'm so sorry, Ahhmm... My pamily... My family... Oh my god... I'm...(Paolo Bediones: Pwede ka magtagalog,ok lang) Ok, I'm so sorry... I... I told you that I'm so confident... Eto, Ahhmm, Wait... Her answer and the whole process was very similar to the Miss Teen South Carolina who gained media publicity in the USA just last year when asked what could be the reason why many Americans can't locate USA in the world map.

Janina San Miguel? Recent winner of a prestigious beauty pageant with surely a disgraceful answer to a very simple question that even I guess an 8-year old could answer in the Little Miss Philippines of Eat Bulaga.

There is really no issue regarding San Miguel's answer to the question raised by Vivienne Tan even though living in a country wherein English being the second language she should have answered it with grace and smartly. There is no issue about her answer that is obviously very senseless. There is no issue regarding her behavior on the stage on a major beauty contest doing the "hahaha", "teka", "taft 10" and so on.

The issue why so many people are irate over her and why she is the talk of the town these days is because of HOW POSSIBLY COULD SHE HAVE WON the TITLE?

People, I personally BELIEVE that SHE DOESN'T DESERVE THE TITLE. Why?

Okay, I understand that there is room for improvement on that lady and that she could practice so that on the real MISS WORLD she wouldn't blew herself and disgrace this NATION of NUTHOUSE but basically the main reason why I think she should have not won the title is because it is a once-in-lifetime beauty and brains contest. Yes undeniably she's beautiful but it's not just a beauty contest. In the line of fire is that she'll be representing this country to the whole world and The Binibining Pilipinas Pageant is obviously the ACID TEST. The question and answer portion would let the viewers decide who would really could have won the title because they were the one listening to the answers of the candidates. The judges do the same thing only that they are the annointed person who would score the over-all performance of the candidates that include and I guess a lot of portion to the CRITERIA belongs to the Q&A segment. The pageant did not happen on the next day but SATURDAY. If that would be the case, then why would the organizers stage a SEARCH event and WHY would they INCLUDE a QUESTION and ANSWER PORTION when the eventual winner would not obviously reflect to the ANSWER during the Q&A portion. The Q&A portion is obviously the "Grand Daddy" of every beauty pageant and why let her win when in fact, even if you get the thought to her answer which would turned out to be "MY FAMILY ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSONS IN THE WORLD" would still be senseless to the question.

How could they let her won the TITLE?

Another thing is that she could have simply bagged the award as 2nd-runner up or even the 1st-Runner up if they really wanted to give that lady something sort of a consolation but GOD DAMN, not the MISS WORLD TITLE. Obviously it would be unfair to other candidates included in the TAFT(top) 10 that have smartly answer their own questions.

But I guess it's no wonder how she WON because included in the PANEL OF JUDGES are Dennis Trillo, Marian Rivera and Chris Tiu. Need I say more? GMA7, where is your CREDIBILITY now huh?

Time Capsule: POLITICIANS before and AFTER

Today is March 11, 2008.

I searched INQUIRER ONLINE for headlines, news and it's still about the same old issues we have about a week ago or maybe months ago. Even the up-to-date breaking news is still about the ZTE-NBN deal, Jun Lozada and should I say the likes.

The same old people we are seeing at our televisions right now are I guess the same old people we would be looking at our boob-tube in the coming months or even in the next three years.

I once written in my older post about a political saying that says "In politics, there are no real and permanent friends or enemies but only vested interests. So for this post, I would like to broaden that saying and trace back memory lane.

Let's see what happened in our country 7 or 8 years ago. How about NOVEMBER 13, 2000?

November 13, 2000. I was a grade 6 student back then and it was just an ordinary day in my hometown baao and in my beloved SMA but back home, it was the television that was the star of the whole day. My father was watching if the then opposition led by THE SPICE BOYS of the lower house would get the MAGIC NUMBER to IMPEACH PRESIDENT JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA and bring the proceedings to THE SENATE . By late afternoon, only one voice prevailed over hundred other congressmen in the microphone. It was the voice of FORMER SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE and now Senator Manuel Villar who courageously took over the PODIUM and announce to the whole COUNTRY that they have IMPEACHED a PRESIDENT and allow the SENATE to go with the TRIAL for CONVICTION or ACQUITTAL.

At the SENATE IMPEACHMENT trial, we've seen all the real drama. The famous "ilonggo or visayan accent" of then congressman Sergio Apostol, the fiery eyes of Guinggona, Former Senator Tessie Aquino-Oreta doing the dance steps, Former Senator Franklin Drilon and Senator Loren Legarda shedding tears while hugging each other, Senator Aquilino Pimentel resigned as Senate President, we also have the brave speeches of Former Senator Rene Cayetano and the "you're-not-a-member-of-this-court" phrase by Senator Raul Roco and of course the walkout and abscence of the prosecution panel after they have lost the voting procedures to open the second envelope of the Jose velarde account.

The next thing to follow was the famous EDSA 2.

It's time for us now to recall and review the POLITICIANS we have then. Of course, Senator ROCO and Cayetano peacefully joined God already, Tessie Oreta allied with the current administration for a possible senate comeback and failed, DRILON decided not to run for office but is making the news again recently but Pimentel, Legarda, Apostol and Villar are still alive and cooking. And opps, Guinggona is yet to contact the parlor, I mean the funeral parlor for he is still half-dead-half-human. Where are they right now? What happened to the principle they have shown to the whole public in 2001?

Sergio Apostol - Once a bar topnotcher, respected lawmaker, he is now the chief presidential legal counsel of Malacanang. Not much of news for him except for the "racist remarks" he uttered about Jun Lozada or the Chinese commnunity should I say. He's still with the governement he had helped established in 2001 and obviously, he's part of the first line of defense of The Palace. I'm not talking about the military, but I'm talikng about Bunye, Justice secretary Gonzales and Apostol who are to defend the president at all cost. I remember Maceda, Angara and John "the gay" O during ERAP times. I think there's a fruit synonymous to their names - balimbing right? Sweet.

Senator Aquilino Pimentel - Only one word to describe him - "BITTER". Now this is what I'm trying to say about vested interest. He was part of the GMA ally but when the dwarf chose Guinggona to be the Vice President of the Republic of The Philippines, he started to show his bitterness to TV PATROL, I mean the television. Nobody needs to tell me the difference between "paninindigan" and "pagtatraydor" because I already know those terms. But to the case of Pimentel, it's all interest after all. At his age, I guess this is the right time for him to retire. Drilon already did what he needs to do and that is to stay home. I guess Pimentel should also try to - hmmm, what about grill some barbecues, and try - fishing.

Senator Loren Legarda - Former Newscaster, election topnotcher but she became famous after EDSA 2 when she became the crying lady of the senate back in 2001 after they lost the votes that did not allow the prosecution and the senate to open the second envelope. The public has bestowed sympathy on that event. She became famous but it did not help her in her bid to become the Vice President in 2004 after she lost to fellow ABS-CBN colleague Noli De Castro. Aside from her separation to "murderer-husband" Antonio Leviste and her failed "recount move" of the 2004 VP Elevtion, the re-elected Senator Loren Legarda is one of the possible candidates for the 2010 Elections which I guess would turn out to be another defeat for her. Why? Because this country is SICK of another WOMAN PRESIDENT. Period.

Senate President Manuel Villar - the IMPEACHMENT hero who in November 2000 led the whole nation in FORMALLY ousting President ERAP ESTRADA (in the proper court) has won another seat in the Senate during the 2007 Midterm elections with the help of... who else? ERAP ESTRADA. Very "IRONIC" isn't it? The opposition sees it as UNITY but with my very own naked eye, I see it as business-as-usual in politics. Villar is targetting the presidency in 2010 so expect another future drama in the opposition. The title? PINOY BIG LOSER: Search for the Next Opposition Stalwart... between Villar, Lacson, Legarda, Roxas, BINAY and even Estrada of course.

Now, finally there's is someone I guess happened to read my BLOG and put a comment on my old post which I discussed about my beloved BAAO. I guess he is also referring about my older post of my opinion on why I think GMA would not RESIGN.

I did not even consider the term "ACCOUNTABILITY" while writing the post but only the simple word of "RESPONSIBILITY" because I'm trying to describe the people of BAAO for anyone of them to take the initiative in helping whether elected or not.

If I talk about the term "PUBLIC ACCOUNTABILITY" which I believe is written in our 1987 Constituition and which our officials are expected to follow, then that would lead me to saying that "there is a PROPER FORUM" to fix the irregularities in both the LOCAL and NATIONAL GOvernment regarding PUBLIC ACCOUNTABILITY and which I again believe would just lead both of us to confusion.

LESSER EVIL? being a KAPAMILYA viewer, I don't see GMA as the LESSER EVIL as what is reported on the TV but I guess it's the OPPOSITION BLOC who plays the lesser evil. Why?

With ERAP ESTRADA being the leader of the opposition, all of his anomalies during his term are now forgotten by our people. Many of our countrymen are following him again during rallies, your should be "interfaith rally" that turned out to be POLITICALLY tainted so I guess sympathy has saved your opposition leader if he is really your leader and THE WHOLE GROUP- once again. People would say nowadays that with the cruelty of Gloria, they could choose from CAYETANO, ESCUDERO, VILLAR, PIMENTEL, GUINGGONA, LEGARDA and the obviously COMEBACKING ESTRADA to be the next president even if we have not thoroughly studied their PERSONALITY.

As to GMA, all have been ATTACKS on her. You have won the battles everytime you exposed anomalies, you do rallies and you have obviously gathered SYMPATHY and make the people lose their CONFIDENCE on ARROYO. But those are all battles you have won and not the EXACT WAR.

So with the EVIL ISSUE, people understands that between the "MUCH EVIL" and the "LESSER EVIL", both are still EVIL. So why CHOOSE?

As to the WAR, there is only a simple question that JUAN de La Cruz is ASKING YOU.

BAAO once again made the news, this time in TV PATROL world of ABS-CBN.
It was the first time I saw my town BAAO being featured in a major TV newscast.

I asked myself: What's the interesting news about BAAO for it to be featured in TV Patrol?

I thought at first that Julius Babao would feature the beauty of the place or the hospitality of its people. I was wrong.

The news is about the flood throughout the whole Peninsula of Bicol particularly the Barangay of Sta Eulalia in Baao, Camarines Sur.

I asked myself again:

Why would they feauture Sta. Eulalia, Baao Camarines Sur when it was reported by INQUIRER that the major affected areas of the flood were Masbate, Sorsogon and Albay? And if I would recall, the heavy rains which caused the flood was reported about 4 days ago already.

The logic is: If the flood-prone provinces of Masbate and Sorsogon were not in the news anymore, does it mean that the governement of those areas have already made ways on how they have controlled the flood 2 days ago? And BAAO which is not a prominent flood-prone area in Camarines Sur still has not yet managed how to control the F****** flood in Sta. Eulalia?

or Is there anybody out there who cares about Sta. Eulalia?

That is

TWO HUNDRED RESIDENTS were affected and still nobody cares?

TWO HUNDRED hungry RESIDENTS and still nobody cares?

What the hell is our local government doing to control the flood?
A flood which has surfaced the barangay of Sta. Eulalia for about three or four days already?

And did I hear the ABS-CBN reporter right?
"NGO's were the ones helping those people in the barangay?"

What happened to the LOCAL GOVERNEMENT?
What are they doing?

I was expecting someone I knew from the local government to appear in the news just to say something about the flood or maybe to reach out some relief goods but none of them is present.

Where in the hell are these people hiding?

Sta. Eulalia needs your help and all I can do right now is pray for those 200 plus residents living in that area that they could see light by the next morning and walk, not swim, the next time they set their feet on the ground.

Why I think GMA would not RESIGN as PRESIDENT: for DUMMIES

I believe that President Gloria Arroyo won't resign as chief executive of this country and I strongly agree that she will finish her term until 2010.

With all due respect to all those students and rallyists and to all opposition members calling for her ouster, what you are doing right now is not enough to stun The Palace and force The President to resign.

Let us review the EDSA 1 and EDSA 2 as an example of how two powerful leaders of our country stepped out of the Palace. Those are from two different decades but if you try to look at every details of those movement, you will see that they have a common denominator.

Here are my reasons why I think that President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo would never RESIGN and why I think she will finish her term(based on EDSA 1 and EDSA 2 events) :

1. People Power is not enough - Let's admit it. Our opposition right now may have gathered the ideal number of people that calls for GMA to resign but the only significant element right now are the students(ATENEO, UP, UST, UE, DLSU)... Those were such big universities but aside from the BAYAN MUNA, AKBAYAN, KABATAAN, BAYAN and kilusang magsasaka, magbubukid, mangingisda, mamamanicure, mang-ffriendster at mangmumultiply, the only left in the workforce of the opposition are those SQUATTERS coming from MAKATI which I believe are just die-hard BINAY SUPPORTERS. Maybe JUN LOZADA may have the biggest impact in today's political and economic activities but you need force from the middle class. Jun Lozada is not enough. Forget the elite class and concentrate on the ordinary Juan deLa Cruz. It is in the middle class where the real manpower belongs. Most importantly, they are the one sick of this country.

2. The disunited Opposition - Back to the middle class, many people or I mean a lot of people may now be discontented with this administration but the problem is that no one or only a few are following the calls of the opposition for GMA's ouster. Reason? Only few believes in the kind of opposition we have right now. I remember a political saying that in politics, there are no real friends or enemies but only interests. People thinks that if ever GMA resign then that would be a much bigger problem. Who would replace GMA once she's gone? The opposition wouldn't agree with Noli De Castro because that would be hypocricy. When GMA resign, then it would be a war between Noli against Loren against Ping against JDV and even against Joseph Estrada. That is what politics in our country is all about. The opposition does not have a proper and working machinery.

3. Military. Period - I told you a while ago that this is based on what had transpired during EDSA 1 and 2 and admit it or not but I strongly believe that the Military is the most significant factor in ousting a President. Enrile and Ramos in EDSA 1 plus the historical jump. Angelo Reyes in EDSA 2. Perfect cinematography isn't it? Those who think that Trillanes is a modern hero is an idiot. You need big names in military other than Honasan, Querubin and Lim. Those three were "has-beens". It's now an Esperon, Palparan and Barias country in the battlefield and as long as you don't have any strong military support, then all your dreams of ousting Gloria is just a wild imagination.

I am not on the protagonist or the antagonist but admit that today is not the time. Don't put the country in another People Power because the world won't forgive another EDSA. That would mean that we are in a nuthouse. What we must do right now is put it in the proper forum and wait for the 2010 election and choose the best person to lead this country. For now, just admit the fact that you can't win against GMA.

My heart is not broken. It's totally wrecked.

This time, I'm really clueless if it's only my mind that is giving me the lasting effect of how hard and how bitter it is to swallow every word and every message she's telling me every moment now that I'm looking for explanations. And if I reminisce all those memories I've had with the girl I'm trying to forget(maybe), it just leave me again with questions.

People always tease me now that I am bitter with what happened. Is it bitterness? Is that what you call a man who's been in a relationship for a year and a half with a girl whom he thought he's spending the rest of his life with? Bitterness I think is a right of every person in the same situation as mine who just doesn't seem to have "MOVING ON" in his vocabulary. Is "moving-on" a post-requisite to a break-up?

It may be those memories that keeps haunting me every day and every time that I sleep but I know that those were not plain memories. Those were things I've earned and kept while we were together but for now you blew them all away.

You may have your own reason for whatever you may want to call it this time but can't you just think of those times we've spent with each other? I know I've never been perfect nor your ideal man but you know how hard and badly I've tried.

Sometimes life would just really fucked us up with things that made you lackluster in the middle of a dull event and then rejuvenated at the end but that would also be the time that you would know that letting go or what you call as saying goodbye is imminent.

As to my case, everything has just been flowing until I noticed that it's too late to hold on to your grip.

This post is obviously for you because this is what you wanted from the start. I think everything is just really all because of you. For all these times, you were the reason of everything to me. My strength and my weakness is all because of what you showed me from the start. You give me the kind of life that I could only imagine in my dreams before. It's totally new to me when you came into my life. And I think what you've done to me this time is also totally new to my spirit. I know I've been in this kind of situation before and done all these things in the past but I want you to know that what you did to me this time is unexplainable. I'm clueless in all your actions today.

I have so many questions that are left unanswered this time. I have so many wishes in my life that I can only keep this time. I have so many dreams for us. But I know everything is over and I know that I can't have you back.

So maybe for now, I leave you with yourself free from all those responsibilities you've had with me but damn you know how much I have loved you and that love would never vanish.

You caused me so much pain and it's hard for me to say goodbye this time. I just hope you'll be fine without me.

I just finished watching the movie I AM LEGEND in the big screen.

The movie was really awesome.
It was really an all-by-himself stunning performance
by Will Smith but he was really great all throughout the movie.

Everything was in the movie.
Drama. Humor. Love. Horror. Suspense. Science Fiction.
and of course Medicine.

but what really made me think it's a great and one-hell-of-a-kind movie?

2 Things Dude.

First: The Movie's reference to Bob Marley

Second: Of Course the SoUnDtRaCk... which is obviously... all of Bob Marley

from "three little birds"to "I shot the Sheriff" to "Stir it Up" and of course one of my personal favorite Marley hit;

My Christmas and New Year vacation is coming to an end maybe 2 days from now and this has really been one of the best holidays I've had celebrated in my entire life. It was full of things I have never really expected.

The best way to describe me is that I was really possessed for the past two weeks. I've done the craziest stuffs and everything and it was really a lot of fun.

I'm sure gonna miss all those people I've hanged out with especially my high school classmates. You were great guys. This has been one of the best vacation I've ever had.

I'm bouncing back from an absent on Day 6 and this time, I'm already HOME. I decided to hear mass at our very own parish in Baao - St. Bartholomew Parish. I thought that they have the same time of start of masses like in Manila but it's much early here. As early as 4 AM you can already hear the voice of the priest. What has been a tradition here during dawn masses is that every after the mass, some sponsor barangays of our town conduct ashort program in the Patio asa way to entertain the parishioners. I've been used to it since I was a kid.

You really have here the "Probinsya Christmas Fever". Unlike in Manila where there is the Puto Bumbong and Bibingka, it's Ginalpong that greets the parishioners after masses which is a "kakanin" prepared by the sponsor barangay. Another thing I love aout masses here is that every dawn mass from Day 1 to Day 9 makes the church Jam-Packed. People are coming from far places and even from those mountainous areas of our town. It's really one big proff how devout the people of Baao are.

No wonder because history has been a big part of it. Hello? This is where the first Filipino Bishop was Born. No Baaoenyo is an idiot of that fact.

Anyways, I'm still enjoying and ecstatic about my stay here. Tomorror is the last morning of the 9-day sacrifice and hoping I would come early for the mass.

Day 6: I'm home

I missed Day 6 of Simbang Gabi ending my streak to 5.

Reason? I went home to Camarines Sur. Hoping that the bus would come as early as 4 AM so I could still attend the mass in Baao, I decided to go home early for the Christmas break. Unfortunately things got worse. There was a major traffic in EDSA(which always happened) and a car accident along the way in Laguna. I got home around 5 AM and decided not to go to the Church anymore because it would be too late.

I'm home. I'm enjoying my stay here but I'm also missing some people I left there in Manila.

Day 5 at PACO

With no Church left in my list, I decided to hear mass for Day 5 at the San Fenando Dilao Parish in Paco, Manila.

It was a newly painted church. They have those Latin phrases encrypted on its walls and ceilings which makes it hard for like ordinary layman to understand. I think one thing why its hard for parishioners to understand the teachings of God and why it is hard for priests to evangelize is because most teachings are really hard to understand by the ordinary people. How will someone try to reflect on those teachings if they could not understand what it means? What will a mother tells her child if asked what does those things in the ceiling says?

I hope that with the new order of Pope Bendeict that Catholics evangelize Catholics, maybe the Church reaches out to its people on how they could clearly understand the teachings in their own tongue.

Wednesday is for Baclaran Church: Simbang Gabi Day 4

I'm still on my "Visita Iglesia 2007" which coincides with the Simbang Gabi and unlike before which I have my last minute decision of where and what place Church to go, this time it was my girlfriend Clarizze who suggested 2 days ago that we hear mass at Baclaran in Paranaque or the National Shrine of our Lady Of Perpetual Help.

It's wednesday and for most religious Filipinos, Baclaran is the number one place to go even in normal Wednesdays and not only during Christmas Season. Many believed that the Our Lady of Perpetual Help image is really one of the most miraculous among all images of the Virgin Mary. No wonder that thousands flocked in this Church yesterday for the fourth day of Simbang Gabi despite the slumpy streets of Paranaque along its way and the danger of snatchers notorious in all corners of its streets. This is the only church where in I've lost my concentration during the mass because I can't help to look at the people around me who really came from all walks of life.

Right now, I'm trying to figure out where to go later for Day 5 of Simbang Gabi. On my list are Paco Church and Ermita Church.

Binondo Church : Simbang Gabi Day 3

I'm still on my 9-day "Visita Iglesia " as part of my Simbang Gabi ritual which I intend to start only this year.

After Malaate Church and Manila Cathedral for Days 1 and 2, Clarizze and I intended to hear mass for the 3rd day of Simbang Gabi at theMinor Basilica of St. Lorenzo Ruiz in Binondo, Manila.

The Church was stunningly beautiful. It's one of the most beautiful church I've ever been to. It's like a replica of the St. Peters Basilica in Rome with all its beautiful paintings and murals hanged in all its wall. Too bad I haven't brought my camera to capture the beautiful church of Binondo.

Simbang Gabi Day 2

I'm currently on a RELIGIOUS TOUR of the different churches here in Manila as I plan to complete the nine dawn masses or the Filipino's official countdown of Christmas.

Yesterday I was at MALATE CHURCH or the OUR LADY of THE REMEDIES PARISH and earlier this morning, me and my girlfriend Clarizze hear mass at The Basilica-Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception or known to many as THE MANILA CATHEDRAL.

It was my second time to be in that Church but it was my first time to hear mass inside the Cathedral. It was really one of the most beautiful Cathedral I've seen in my entire life with all those Spanish Architecture depicted in every wall. There really is a strong Spanish environment inside. We were waiting to see Padre Damaso or even Maria Clara to appear. LOL.

I really wish I could complete my 9-dawn expedition and right now, I'm thinking of where I plan to hear mass tomorrow for Day 3 of Simbang Gabi.

Today is December 16.

"Simbang Gabi" kicked off earlier this morning . It is a 9-day early masses which starts December 16 and ends on December 24 and concluded by a mass on Christmas eve. Of course, being in Manila where Christmas is felt as early as October, I decided not to sleep yesterday so I could be on time for the for the start of the "Misa De Gallo".

I decided to hear mass at the Our Lady of Remedies Parish or popularly known as MALATE CHURCH. I was one of the first to go inside because I was there as early as 3:15 AM and the Church is only about to open. I intentionally planned to go there early so as to have a seat luxury and I was lucky to be in front of the altar and beside the Chorale Group.

Lights inside the church were turned on at around 3:30 AM and I was amused to see that they are using LCD projector for their masses. Wow and lucky for them to have that kind of luxury. An early reminder was flashed on the screen saying:

ATTENTION
Please do not leave your
Personal Belongings Unattended.
Somebody might think
its the ANSWER to their prayers

I grinned when I read the sign. COMEDY inside the Church. Anyways, the whole flow of the mass in Malate was different from those I've attended in the past year. In Malate Church, they change the tradition of praying the rosary before the mass to giving lectures to the people and letting the parishioners understand why they celebrate such things and how Jesus infancy was told in the GOSPEL. I think its better than the old one because we should put importance in educating everybody and telling them about God as a whole instead of letting them pray tons of Hail Mary's without understanding why such things were done.

Another good thing about the MALATE CHURCH is that the Celebrant gives homily as fast as One Minute unlike in other Churches that HOMILY could take to about 30 minutes. Just a short message and everything was fine. Let the people think and reflect on the message rather explain to them the whole bible which for sure they could not understand.

Of course, as soon as the mass ended, the best way to start the morning after the simbang gabi is to have a taste of the PUTO BUMBONG and BIBINGKA. The Puto Bumbong took time for them to cook that is why I opted for the BIBINGKA.

And yes, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED for today.

Why am I here? It is the question I always asked myself when I'm in an environment I'm not used of.

Like now, I'm in a place of mixed people. Different races. Separated of different status. Yes, of different personalities. Mixed as they say. I am here. I am alone. I am unknown. Nobody knows me here. Nobody knows why I am here.

I'm sipping my hot coffee and all I can think of is the aroma that is as sweet as the agonies I am enduring. I wanted to relax. I'm trying to relax. I wanted to breath. I wanted to taste every air I can. I wanted a life for myself. I wanted myself today all unknown.

Why am I here? I asked myself again. I don't belong here. I know. I'm a minority and I should be out there with all of them. Well who cares? This place is where the minority are. They work. They run the whole thing. They are called the manpower. They have the strength that could pin down any system as big as a block of an ice. They are hot and they won't cool down. They are on the attack. No resting. No one could stop them. Actually, they're just not allowed to stop. They are robots. Someone behind their backs have controlled to each and everyone of them.

Why am I here? I did not pay for this cup of coffee. The whole working class paid for this. I owe them. Do I deserve this? Do I deserve them? Do I deserve to relax why they are working to death? Or am I another hypocrite? How many hypocrites are here around me? Do they ask the same question as mine?

Status is a question always left unanswered in our minds. We always try to look at ourselves higher and bigger than the other, or if not, level ourselves among the elite. We are envy. Always. What we do not know is that there are more higher than us. We worked for them to death that we even have to kiss their feet.

People walked in and out of here in this place where I am right now. Do they have questions same as mine? I asked again. Am I the only unknown here? Why am I here? I again asked myself.

I am here for a cup of coffee. That is all I know. I'm here to sip the goodness of aroma that is as sweet as my yesterdays of hatred, gore and total animosity.

Having Fun

I am a free man yesterday and there is no other way to enjoy it but to hop and hop everywhere.

After our duty in RITM, I was supposed to get back to my dorm and just enjoy playing NBA LIVE 08 at the nearby cafe when I saw Rio and Tarah also on their way out of the RITM complex so what I did was to join them. Unluckily, there is no available FX ride so we decided to walk from the institutes' gate up to Metropolis Alabang.

Realizing that it's going to be a long journey plus the fact that it is raining, we decided to get a cab but unluckily, the cab would charge us 80php from RITM to Metropolis but he voluntarily offered his cab that he will take us up to Festival Supermall for free and told us that we could get a ride from Festival Mall to Metropolis. So we hopped in and went to Festival Supermall which is actually my first time to be in that mall.

Another bad luck came while we were in there because there are no jeepneys going to Metropolis at that time that is why realizing that it was already past 12PM, we decided to have lunch first inside the mall.

We ate at KFC per Rio's request. It was my first time to eat with other people other than Clah or my groupmates again since NINETEEN NINETY- whatever. After eating, we again waited for a jeepney that will take us to Metropolis but again because we were unlucky, there is none but the same taxi who took us to Festival was still around the area so he decided to take us to the terminal station near Metropolis Alabang.

The fact that playing NBA LIVE 08 will just washed my brain out, I decided to join Rio to take Tarah to SM MegaMall because it is where Tarah usually ride on her way to Rizal.

When we arrived at the mall, knowing that there is nothing for us to do in there, we just played at the World of Fun amusement center inside the mall and there we enjoyed playing games over and over until we run out of tokens(chips).

It was totally fun. It was a whole lot of environment to me. Maybe because I get used to my life that I meet the same faces day in a day out.

The whole experience was so simple yet it keeps me wondering how I'm missing my old life. I keep telling myself yesterday that I knew I have done this before and now I'm doing this again and it was fun. I really enjoyed being with Rio and Tarah that whole afternoon.

When I arrived in my dorm, I knew the day is not yet over to get a life so I decided to go to SM Manila and just stroll around the area. I ate, ordered my favorite Green Mango shake at Juice Ave., and then went home tired yet very relaxed.

I slept early yesterday... and dreamed badly...

Break- Ups 1

A break-up is absolutely the term used to coin an end to a relationship.

A friend asked me before a question that really haunted my mind from day 1. She asked me if why despite everything in a relationship like those never-ending arguments, overnight crying, fatigue and of course depression, people tend to still hold on and never command or initiate a break-up. I told my friend that in their case it's still easy to find an answer to your question. The solution is just a simple sense of humility as well as understanding of the whole situation. Never thinking of a possibility for a break-up may help but even if you taught about a single percent of a possibility for break-up, you still lose courage to push it forward because yes there is still love and if you do not call it love for some, the memories are just simply hard to forget.

Then she asked me again, that is their situation and how about yours? There are never-ending arguments, jealousy, depression and a plus factor that I admitted that I have never yet seen my future to that person where I am right now. I know it's too ironic to explain. So let me dissect some things to you. To summarize the whole story of my life, I kept asking myself why I never initiate a break-up despite a relationship which is almost taken for granted everyday. I kept thinking of looking for answer to that question but then I ended up formulating a reason and not an answer.

My reason- simply because break-up words and declarations such as "it's over", "we need space", "it's too complicated" are reasons that are repeated over and over again by people who commit the same mistake and who goes back to the same scenario in almost all of their relationships. I told the one who asked me that if I'm going to initiate a break-up with my girlfriend, then I would tell her no other words but simply "I wish I never met you". Then she told me its too sarcastic. But then I answered its brief and concise. I think the explanation is already in the reason or statement I formulated.

That is the same reason that has haunted for so many long time that I am afraid losing someone. It's not that love is always a factor, but because in all situations, there is fear you need to face. It is the fear that hurts the most. To coin a word and prepare for a mock break-up is easy even if you just practice the whole thing in front of a mirror. To tell it to the person you've been with and you've dreamed and wished that would change in the coming days just makes your feet tremble each and every moment you keep thinking of initiating a break-up.

Yeah, they have the infrared before and now the Bluetooth so maybe they should try working out how to transfer memories of the human brain direct to PC. So maybe now that they have not tried to figure out how to do it despite all our advancements right, I have first to organized how I could do it manually.

Anyways, I'm currently listening alternately to two songs right now. The first one is "Before I Got High"by Afroman and the other one is "Apologize" by One Republic. I just got so addicted to those songs today. A very good friend of mine told me about the Last Song Syndrome and for today I'm suffering of two tracks. Who cares? As long as there is no tumor in it so what?

I really don't know what exactly I would like to write right now. I don't exactly know what I should be doing right now. I don't have any idea what is going on with myself and basically I all I know is that things are getting worse each and everyday I'm trying to do something or failed to do something.

I'm having plans of creating a substitute blog about the weirdest things I've done in the past as well as my revelations about my life of course. Watch out for it.
